This was my third attempt at modeling a coaster.  A friend of mine had suggested I give it a try, so I said why , so I was familiar with the ride.  Although it was a very good ride, the absence of a zero-g roll is what kept it from being one of my favorites.

I took this model a little further than my previous ones.  I started to put more detail in the track, as well as started playing with materials.  Unlike my other coasters, this one actually used lights and shadows, which makes a big difference.  This model was also going to be the first one with an animation.  As a result of making an animation, I also updated my floorless trains with some more detail since I would also be making an off-ride animation.  This model was also a lesson in what to do and not to do.  A not to do is make a model with 4 million faces and have it take 12 days to render.  Anyways...I hope you enjoy the animations.

This section shows information about the 3d model and the project as a whole.  While I try to get as close to the real thing as possible, sometimes dimensions have to be altered in order to represent proportions so that the model looks accurate.

I have created two animations for this model.  The first is a POV from the front seat.  The second is of off-ride footage following the train throughout the course.  Enjoy!
